My story

Meet Boss ACCT-A-228151! Boss is a 10-year-old male who came in as an owner surrender on 8/7 due to his behavior. Videos: Boss & Gizmo Meet: https://youtube.com/shorts/rEFGCXFw0KE?feature=share Behavior Notes: Per staff 8/14: “Boss was at the back of his kennel when I approached but came to the front of the kennel when I crouched down. He had soft eyes and a wagging tail. He was easy to leash and came right out of kennel. He had a positive dog meet with Gizmo outside. After the meet we spent some time together and he ate some fresh pet out of my hand. He allowed head and body petting but never solicited. Going back to his kennel he put on the breaks but with some baby talk he got closer to his kennel and once he saw there was food in his kennel he hopped right in. He allowed me to remove the leash with no issues.” Per staff 8/11: “At the back of the kennel, laying down. He came to the front and was easy to leash. Pet on his back, whale eye and lip kicks. Placed a towel over him and he was tolerant. Used cheese to place back in kennel, loved the cheese and was easy to remove the leash” Per staff 8/10: “When I approached his kennel he retreated to the back corner and began to low growl and bare teeth. When I touched his kennel door, he began to escalate and started to lunge. Due to these behaviors, he is unsafe to remove from kennel and attempt to check in.” Per staff 8/7: “Not able to fully check in/vaccinate due to behavior. Starting behavior meds.” Per owner: “Attacks people in the house and other animals. Very aggressive. High energy, crate trained. Has bitten a person and animal. Aggressive with strangers, children, cats and dogs.” Medical Notes: On 8/13: Boss was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. He tested negative for pneumovirus. Per an exam on 8/7: -Cloudy corneas -Not able to check ears -Not able to check mouth due to fear -Not able to check coat and skin -BAR, growling, lip licking, baring teeth, very tense ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia.
