Holly

My story

Holly is a sweet and gentle older gal who needs someone with patience and understanding. She doesn’t seem to know what to do with toys yet but enjoys finding a cool spot in the yard to lay down. She’s very docile and still getting used to being around people so she does keep to herself most of the time. Holly had one accident when she first arrived, but has been great ever since. She sleeps through the night in her dog bed and hasn’t touched anything she’s not supposed to. Holly would thrive in a home that’s quiet and doesn’t have a lot of stairs for her to climb. As she does enjoy being outside during the day, ideally she could find a home with a fenced back yard. She gets along with the other foster dog in the house and may enjoy another dog that is confident and low key as loud noises and sudden movements startle her. Only because of her skittishness and lack of confidence would it be recommended that if there are children, they should be tweens or those mature enough to understand that she needs a bit more patience and calmness than a younger dog. She rarely barks but when she does, she’s letting you know something in the yard doesn’t belong-and she sings the song of her people by baying. Holly would be a great travel or movie watching companion and needs to be an inside dog as she enjoys being around people and deserves a home where she can receive all the love and attention she desires.
