My story

Affectionate, curious, regal Got a box? Mitsy wants to sit in it. A blanket? She wants to snuggle into it. A heart full of love? Mitsy is first in line to claim you! This pretty calico girl is always looking for love, roaming around and proactively purring in anticipation of your ear and chin scratches and other pets. She’s fairly quiet, using only occasional soft little meows to say Hi. But this girl can PURR, and she does so loudly and often in gratitude for your love and pets. Her foster says that Mitsy is the perfect blend of calm and playful. She’s quite active and speedy in the evening, zooming around in hot pursuit of wand toys and pouncing on soft toys. One of her nicknames is Doris the Explorer, because she’s so curious about her environment. She likes having plenty of space to explore. She also loves to lounge in a sunny window and watch the world go by. Mitsy interacts lovingly and playfully with her kitten, who will soon go off to a forever home. We haven’t seen her with adult cats, but she has shown some curiosity about her foster’s dog. She may be even more amenable to meeting him once she’s no longer protecting her kitten. She does well with kids who are 8 or older; i.e., old enough to understand when she’d had enough petting or boisterous play.
