Domino

My story

Meet Domino! A shy but loving 4 year old long haired tuxedo, who spent at least a year of her life as a “feral”, living in a swamp, thriving in a large colony of strays. She let her foster parents know she was ready to be moved indoors by remaining on the porch 24/7, staring inside, and meowing as if saying, “I want IN”. Domino is fine with other cats but does best with other female cats, who will give domino her own space, but like to co-exist. Male cats stress her out a bit, as they have proven to be less respectful of her personal space. She is still learning what toys she likes and which she doesn’t, wand toys seem to always be a hit. She LOVES being brushed.  The ideal home for Domino would be one to two adults in a calm home, with plenty of dark hidey holes and window views to bird watch. She is more active at night and more affectionate as well, so it would be a bonus if you’re a night owl too! She likes lap time, and just being in the same space as her person. She’s a great office cat, as she doesn’t need to be in your face or in your work, but loves to be near by and observe what you’re doing!  Loud things still scare her, and probably always will because of her life living outside where loud usually means danger. She may take a bit to adjust to a new home, but she will. She loves affection, and every new person she meets that gives her time and space, always wins her over. If you’re experienced with shy but loyal kitties, domino will melt your heart. Once she is familiar with you she turns into a goober, who can’t help but make you feel so lucky to know her.  All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with age-appropriate vaccinations. Adult cats have an adoption fee of $150.
