My story

Meet Xenia, 80lbs of amazing! Xenia’s owner described her as “always happy and nice” and “a beautiful soul,” and we couldn’t agree more! While in the shelter, Xenia has been nothing but friendly and engaging – quick to play, happy to receive all the love and affection you can offer. If you have a fenced yard or a dog park nearby, Xenia would be thrilled as she loves to get zoomies off leash. Xenia has just two tiny faults – she doesn’t appreciate having her nails trimmed and she seems to suffer from allergies (environmental and food); This means Xenia is looking for an adopter who can accommodate her – possibly with a specific diet and daily medication. How can you say no to such a perfect pup? Bring your whole family (resident dogs included!) along to meet Xenia!This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! Be sure to check the “shelter information” box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
