My story

Baby is a 9-10-month-old Dachshund mix with the cutest little face and a heart that just needs a bit of time to trust. She's had a rocky start to life and is still learning that the world is a safe and loving place — but once she knows you're her person, her gentle, affectionate side starts to shine. Baby does well with other dogs, but she needs time and a slow introduction to feel safe and comfortable around new furry friends. She’s a bit protective of her toys and food (understandable, given her background), so patience and clear boundaries will go a long way in helping her feel secure. She may growl when she feels scared or threatened — it’s her way of saying she needs space — but she responds well to calm reassurance and consistency. It also took Baby a few days to warm up to her foster humans. She seems to trust women more easily than men at first, but with kindness and time, she does come around and builds bonds with both. Baby is looking for a forever home with a patient, loving family who will give her the space and support she needs to blossom. She’s still young and has a lifetime of love to give — she just needs someone to help her believe the world can be kind. The adoption fee of $500 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED!
