My story

Olive is a 1-year-old dog who weighs about 33lbs. This perfectly-sized medium pup is full of love and affection!Olive was found as a stray with a broken front leg. She received fracture repair surgery at UC Davis Veterinary Hospital and spent the last couple of weeks recovering in a foster home. Olive will need a few more weeks on activity restriction in her new home, but is recovering well so far! Olive`s foster mom says: `Olive is such a sweet dog who will thrive in a loving home! She is very treat-motivated and eager to please, responding well to corrections and positive reinforcement. She knows “sit”, “down”, “belly”, “kennel”, and “gentle” when taking treats. She is very tolerant of handling in general and could easily be bathed and have her paws touched, especially while getting treats. Olive did well in her crate, and would vocalize to let us know she needed a potty break. She is easy to walk and loves sitting on the grass in the sun. Olive was on crate rest while recovering from her fracture surgery while with us, and she is very much looking forward to her freedom and being able to let out some teen puppy energy. She is a curious but gentle girl who isn’t fazed by much. It was such a joy to have Olive in our home, and we know she will make a fantastic addition to yours! `Olive does not have a history of living with other dogs, but may do well with yours.Olive does not have a history of living with cats, but may do well with a slow introduction.Olive does not have a history of living with children, but may do well with them.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Olive, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
