My story

Hello Families! My name is Bella Grace and I'm a 2 year old petite mixed female lab weighing approximately 49lbs. Well now, do I have a story for you! I was most likely dumped near the San Bernardino Airport. A good Samaritan tried to help me, but I ran around for quite some time. Months actually. This nice lady finally convinced me to give her a chance. She took me in and called SCLRR. I am so grateful to a have a new warm home with my foster mom. I am so glad I was given a second chance and I am looking forward to living happily with a new family. Considering my past circumstances, I am mostly well behaved. I have never had an accident in the house and I don't destroy things- I just like to do some decorating and move stuff around! Oh, I might get into the treats if I can find them. For my own safety it is best that I am crated while you are gone. My foster mom likes to go for runs and I happily keep up with her. I have to say I am a good running partner and I am VERY good on a leash! Recently I tried out the pool and while I am obviously a good swimmer, I am not sure I love it yet. I know basic commands like sit and stay! I love toys and I'm very smart! I even recently learned how to use the ice machine on the refrigerator! Hmm, not so funny for my foster parents I guess, so I have stopped. I am still having a little anxiety when left alone, so I will benefit from having another dog in the home with me. And I love to play with other dogs, so that would make all of us happy! I have already been through some training and, as an added bonus, my adoption includes some help from my rescue trainer! I have been introduced to some very small children. I was a good girl and very gentle. I think I might be referred to as a velcro dog. If that means I like to be with my people and follow them everywhere, then that is indeed what I am! I just really love to be around my people and other dogs! I love to cuddle and I sleep quietly through the night. Everyone that meets me says how pretty and well behaved I am. I get fed twice a day, I like some veggies, but still testing them out. Considering the life I had I think I deserve the best! I promise I will be your bestest dog! I am looking for an active family who will continue working with me and doesn't leave me alone right away. I would really like to have a doggy sibling and kids might be fun as well! Please contact your Family Rep if you are interested in giving me an awesome forever home. If you are interested in making this Lab part of your family, please contact your SCLRR family representative. If you have not yet applied with us, please submit an online application to adopt; an SCLRR volunteer will then contact you. Please note that your homecheck must be approved in order for you to be put in touch with the dog's foster home.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bella Grace, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
