My story

Meet Spire, a black and white domestic medium-hair cat with a half-white nose and a whole lot of floof. Much like the architectural marvel he’s named after, Spire has a quiet elegance and a presence that draws the eye. He prefers to admire the world from a distance, taking his time to trust—but once he does, you’ll be rewarded with slow blinks, headbutts, and carefully chosen cuddles. Affection is always on his terms, but when Spire invites you into his inner circle, it feels like being granted access to a hidden sanctuary. He’d do best in a home that understands the art of patience and respects his independent nature. Spire doesn’t need constant attention—just a calm space, a cozy perch, and someone who appreciates the beauty of a cat who, like a spire, stands tall, quiet, and unmistakably majestic. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
