Matilda

My story

Matilda is the newest member of Petrescue, and she is truly the definition of a rescue. She was left in a bag on the side of the road. This sweet girl is blind, underweight and fragile, yet somehow still trusting. Upon arriving at Petrescue, she was immediately “rescued” again by one of our compassionate volunteers and is now safe, warm and resting comfortably in a loving foster home. Her foster family named her Matilda which means “Strong Warrior”, and she certainly is. Matilda’s story is a sad one, but once at Petrescue, she now has the opportunity to live out her life with people who will give her the love and care she deserves.
