My story

Roo is a lovely 8-year-old female who recently arrived here at FCAR. As we get to know her, we have seen her start to open up and show what an absolute love she can be. Roo makes a quick impression by kneading at the door as soon as she spots a human and just loves when you spend time petting her! If you sit with her for a couple of minutes you may find her curling up in your lap even- just let her think it's her idea! Roo can get a bit overstimulated and may not communicate that in the best way, but she is a girl with a ton of love to get and who really wants it in return as well!If Roo sounds like the purrfect match for you, we encourage you to apply today! In that case, we kindly ask for a personal reference instead.Why we ask these questions:We want to make sure we find the best possible fit for both you and the animal.For renters, we need to confirm with your landlord that pets are allowed, as unfortunately, many landlords in Franklin County have restrictions.Checking with your veterinarian helps us ensure that our animals receive the ongoing medical care they deserve.What happens next:Once we receive positive references from your landlord (if applicable) and veterinarian (or personal reference), we'll contact you to schedule an appointment if you're interested in adopting a dog.If you're looking for a feline friend, you're welcome to come in anytime during our open hours!Important information:Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the date your application is approved.We're truly grateful for the overwhelming interest in our animals! Our staff is working diligently to approve applications as quickly as possible.
