My story

Hello, everyone. My name is Sweet Pea. Yes, my name suits my personality; I am as sweet as can be. While I can be a little shy at first, I warm up quite quickly because I adore people. Here are a few things I would like you to know about me. - I love being with my people. There is no better place than being close to my fosters.- Cuddles, yes please! I am about as affectionate as they come. Snuggling up or sitting at your feet is my favorite place to be. If you are walking around, I will be your shadow.- Potty accidents? No, thank you. I am housetrained.- I do pretty well in a crate, although I am still learning to love it. Sometimes, I whine a little hear and there, but I am quiet the majority of the time. I sleep in my crate at night and when my foster leaves the house. My foster tosses a treat in the crate, and I go right in.- Speaking of treats, I am obsessed with them. I am always alert and ready to learn when they come out.- Play all day? Nope, not me. While I do have a playful side (I still get some zoomies), I am also pretty chill and want to rest. After my morning walk, all I want to do is snuggle or take a nap. I am a lower-energy girl.- Toys? I love them, especially the soft ones with a squeaker. So far, I have been quite gentle with my toys as well.- Sometimes fast movements scare me, so I would do better in a home with older, gentle children.- I am around 35 pounds.Overall, I am a sweet, gentle girl who would make an affectionate best friend. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions.
