My story

WILL HALVE YOUR SORROWS, DOUBLE YOUR JOYS  DOB 12/18/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Bette, a super-sweet, friendly, cuddly, and playful tuxedo-tortoishell-tabby, which means that I’m a brown tabby with tortoiseshell patches of peach and white tuxedo markings. I’m a lovely combination of colors and a beautiful gal who was named because of my bewitching Bette-Davis eyes. I cherish a good snuggle with my foster pawrents, whether it’s on their laps or glued to their thighs. Cuddling is a perfect opportunity for me to display that I am the queen of biscuit-making. My rhythmic kneading only stimulates me to purr as loudly and as endlessly as I can. But I’m no couch potato! I’m a young, frisky gal who’s barely more than a kitten, so I love to bat the feathered wand toy as it waves over my head or chase it around the room as it snakes past me.  When I was about seven months old, I showed up at a feeding station for community cats, but I was much too friendly to be released back on the streets after I was spayed. In fact, when I came to my foster home to recover from surgery, I was already very well-adjusted to indoor living. My foster pawrents assume that I was someone’s pet who was abandoned because my owners had fallen on hard financial times. At first I had a room to myself, and I seemed happy to bask in a patch of sunshine while I watched “kitty TV” as squirrels climbed trees and birds flew through the air. In the meanatime, since being introduced to the resident cats, I not only get along well with them but also play with them. Now I’m ready to enrich the lives of my new forever family. Could that be you? Adopt me, and I promise to halve your sorrows and double your joys. Arrange to meet me today!! HOPE ID 25-0724-S040 Bette’s $100 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. Online application: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Bette will be this week-end, email us at nancy.e.kline@hotmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you August 5, 2025, 7:55 pm
