My story

Gibby is a handsome cat who’s been on quite a journey. He arrived at BHS as a stray and has spent his time here learning that people aren’t so scary after all. With patience, love, and lots of snacks, Gibby has started to blossom.Gibby is FIV+ and we are using good judgement with introducing to other FIV+ cats in the home. We recommend a vet relationship to keep him strong and healthy. Gibby has no history with canines, but may do well with respectful, cat-savvy dogs. Gibby would thrive in a quiet home with adults or older, cat-savvy kids who can give him the space and time he needs to feel safe. While he’s still working on his confidence, Gibby has made huge strides. He absolutely loves lickable treats and getting gentle pets with a back scratcher or your hand once he realizes you`re safe. As he feels more comfortable, he forms a bond with his caregiver that we believe will strengthen in a quiet home environment. If you have a calm home, a little patience, and a lot of kindness, Gibby just might be your perfect companion.
