My story

**Adoption visits are by appointment only** If you see an animal you`re interested in, fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-PetBlue has been passed around a bit and is ready for a permanent home! His absolute favorite thing in the world is going for car rides. So much so that he will hop a fence to get a ride from people driving by which is dangerous. He may be a great companion for like long haul truck driving or any other job that includes vehicle travel. He has lived with children and done OK and has been known to chase the family cat on occasion. Blue considers himself king of the dog world so it may be best if he was the only canine or a resident dog would let him be the boss right off the bat. Blue weighs 62 pounds.Wandering Rover Feedback: `Blue is the perfect dog for anyone who is looking for companionship. He loves to ride in the car and enjoyed having the window down and was very well behaved. Once Blue is in the car he is ready for any adventure and easily settled. We took Blue home to our backyard where he enjoyed following us around doing yard work and especially enjoyed playing with toys. Dog toys definitely bring out the puppy energy in Blue and he was very good at keeping himself busy! Blue has good leash’s skills and didn’t seem to have any issues jumping in and out of the car. Blue especially loves putting all of his body weight up against you when you scratch the perfect spot on his butt or his belly. He was very affectionate and friendly with everyone he met. Blue definitely has some cattle dog in him and surprising claimed a rake to herd while we were working on the yard and showed off his impeccable herding skills. Overall he is a pretty good with the flow kind of dog and is looking for his forever home!``Blue really loves car rides and gets so excited for walks! It takes him a little bit of time to settle into the walk and calm his excitement, but once he does he is wonderful on the leash! He seems to love being outside sniffing bushes and plants. He ignored passing cyclists, dogs, and people. I love that he is still so energetic at 8 years old! He has wonderful manners in the car and is a perfect gentleman in the house. He is very eager to please. He`s truly a lovable guy!`

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Blue, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
