Flurry AKA Akira

My story

Meet Akira! This sweet and spirited girl is the total package, smart, cuddly, and full of energy! Akira is crate-trained and has completed both puppy and intermediate training at PetSmart. She knows commands like sit, wait, and lay down (settle), and she even understands some of them in sign language. She walks well on a leash and naturally sticks close by your side. Akira grew up with two older dogs (a large German Shepherd/Terrier mix and a medium-sized Lab/Pit mix), so she’s well-socialized with medium to large dogs and would love a canine playmate. No cats for this girl, please, she prefers her furry friends to bark, not meow! She has been around children of all ages, especially toddlers, and does well. That said, with her big personality and zoomie energy, she'd likely thrive in a home with older kids who can match her playful vibe. Akira is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than curling up with her person once she’s had her playtime. She’s known for her love of butt scratches, give her one and you’ll be treated to her famous “Bronco Butt” routine, complete with happy leg thumps and joyful wiggles. Akira is shy at first with strangers but warms up with time. If someone new comes into her home, she may bark until she feels comfortable, but once she’s decided you’re a friend, she’s all cuddles and kisses. This energetic girl loves squeaky toys, chew toys, chasing balls, and romping in the yard. She enjoys wrestling with other dogs and is always up for a good run or walk. She’s intelligent, eager to learn, and ready to be your loyal companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and high-energy cuddlebug, Akira might just be your perfect match!
