My story

ALL ABOUT ME Name: Hodi Age: 1yr 6 months old Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Jindo mix Colour: Brindle Weight: 10kg / 22 lbs Microchipped, Dewormed, and Healthy   MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! My name is Hodi. My life didn’t start off easy—I was once on the euthanasia list at a crowded city pound, with no one to call my own. But just when things seemed hopeless, some kind-hearted rescuers saw me and gave me a second chance. Thanks to them, I’m now safe and ready to leave my past behind. What I’m really dreaming of is a forever family who will love me unconditionally and show me that life can be filled with warmth, happiness, and lots of belly rubs.   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY I might come across as a little shy and timid when you first meet me, but don’t let that fool you! Beneath my quiet exterior is a sweet, clever boy who’s full of potential. I’m eager to learn and love working for tasty treats (which, I’ve been told, is quite a unique trait for a Jindo like me!). My food motivation makes training much easier, and I’m ready to impress you with how quickly I can pick up new tricks. Oh, and here’s a bonus: I’m more of a “fun-sized” Jindo—smaller than the typical Jindo build, making me the perfect little companion for someone looking for a compact buddy with a big heart.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but don’t worry—if you offer me some treats and give me a little time, I’ll warm up quickly and happily accept gentle pets. I’m just a bit sensitive about being touched right away, so if I gently step away, it’s my way of saying I need a moment to feel comfortable. Once we’ve built a bond, I don’t mind being picked up and cuddled. I haven’t had much experience with kids yet, but I’m confident that with gentle, respectful, and dog-savvy children, we’d get along just fine. And good news—I’m not protective of my food around people!   With Dogs:  While I might be a bit timid around new people at first, I’m quite the social butterfly when it comes to my doggy friends! I love meeting new dogs and saying a friendly hello. I usually get along best with dogs my own size, and I enjoy playful fun with my pals. That said, I do like to be a little protective over my food and toys—if I’m happily chewing on a toy and another dog tries to take it, I’ll let them know by gently growling to keep my special things safe.   With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, but with a slow and thoughtful introduction, I think I could learn to live peacefully with a feline friend.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a nice balance of energy—I love spending time outdoors, exploring and letting off some steam. But once I’m back inside, I’m all about cozy cuddles and relaxing on the couch, happy to snuggle up and chill by your side.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still learning about walking on leash, and sometimes when I get scared, I lie flat on the ground to feel safe. I do best in quiet, calm places—busy streets and loud noises like car horns can really startle me. Because of this, I’ll need lots of gentle guidance and patience to build my confidence during walks. For my safety, it’s very important that I’m always double-leashed with both a harness and collar, plus a GPS tracker when I’m out and about. I’m a pretty quiet pup who rarely barks. I also know how to rest calmly in my kennel and prefer to do my business outside.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. I would thrive best with a family who understands my fear of loud noises and my hesitation around new experiences—like meeting new people or being in unfamiliar places. Patience, kindness, and gentle encouragement will help me feel safe as I settle into my new home. I’ll need a little time to adjust and explore the world at my own pace, so a calm and loving environment is exactly what I need.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a sweet, shy boy who’s learning to trust the world again. Loud noises and new places can be scary for me, so I’ll need a patient and understanding family who will give me the time and space to feel safe. With gentle care and kindness, I know I’ll blossom into a confident and loving companion. I’m eager to explore life at my own pace and share lots of love with my forever family.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Hodi’s YouTube Playlist ##2482258##
