My story

***Courtesy Post*** Meet Mr Oakley a very handsome 5 year old purebred Australian Shepherd with a sweet demeanor, goofy personality and lots of energy. He would do best with another canine companion since has spent the last five years with an older female pittie and has made other fur friends along the way. He has been around children older than the age of 10 and loves all the dogs. Oakley is the definition of a stage 5 clinger in the best way possible whether it is taking over half your pillow at night or keeping you company in the bathroom or kitchen he is always within floof's length. He is very attached to his hoomans and uses his aussie herding traits to make sure his family is safe and sound. It's hard to sum up his hilarious personality, definitely one of a kind.     Oakley will have you laughing and wondering why or how?!  From frog laying around corn cobbing you or his toy to quirky noises and random spurts of energetic antics trying to catch his stubby nubby. He will wiggle his way into your heart and steal your lap! Oakley is a gentleman who knows how to sit and lay down; he is also house and kennel trained.    Due to his awesome aussiness Oakley would do best in a yard with a high block wall since he has built in Tigger legs. Would thrive in a family environment and another fur friend to keep him company.    Oakley was born in New River Az on a small farm, His dad weighed about 80 lbs and his mom weighs about 60lbs. He looks more like his mom in color and size however his special charm is his occasional smile he gets from his dad.     Oakley will be neutered, have his vaccines updated and microchipped prior to his adoption. His adoption fee of $350 helps offset the cost of medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think Oakley could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*:    https://helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application .   *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up. August 6, 2025, 6:06 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Oakley ***Courtesy Post***, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
