My story

Tony loves walks, treats, and his cozy crate kingdom! Quick Facts: Name:  Tony Breed:  Chihuahua Age:  7 years old Weight:  10 lbs House-Trained:  Just about! And he uses pee pads too! Crate-Trained:  Yes! Good with Dogs:  Yes – with proper introductions Good with Cats:  Unknown Good with Kids:  He is scared of young children Energy Level:  Low to medium energy   About Tony’s Breed: Chihuahuas are bold, confident and loyal. They are affectionate with their people but can be wary of strangers but warm up quickly. They are intelligent and trainable, though they may be a little stubborn at times, but they keep it interesting! They are also known to be vocal and love to “chit chat”!   About Tony’s Personality: Meet  Tony , a tenderhearted 7-year-old Chihuahua with soulful eyes and a story of quiet courage. Though timid at first, Tony has shown his foster family that beneath his cautious nature is a pup longing for love and connection.     What Tony Needs: A patient, gentle home where he can continue to blossom at his own pace Preferably a fenced yard for safe outdoor adventures (he adores exploring!) An environment without young children—he feels safer with calm surroundings Respectful introductions to other dogs, as he can coexist with the right companions Someone who’ll appreciate his independence and honor his safe space—his open crate sanctuary   Tony’s Sweet Spots: Nearly potty trained and uses pee pads like a champ Crate trained and enjoys lounging in his cozy den Loves taking quiet walks and investigating the sights and smells of the outside world Warmed up beautifully to his foster family—ready to trust again Occasionally guards his treats (he knows what's his!), but manages well with understanding Tony is ready to write a new chapter with a forever family who sees his quiet charm and lets him shine on his terms. If you have a peaceful home and a soft spot for gentle souls, Tony may be the devoted companion you didn’t know you were missing. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. to ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/.
