My story

Jiu Jitsu arrived at BHS as a stray, and while life on the streets may have made him a little cautious, it didn’t take long for his affectionate side to shine through. He loves attention on his own terms and will happily lean into pets when he’s feeling comfortable, especially if treats are involved (he’s very food motivated). The busy shelter environment can be a bit overwhelming for Jiu Jitsu, and with limited space, he can get overstimulated at times. Because of this, he’s looking for a home that understands and respects his independent spirit. Once he`s settled into a quieter environment with more room to explore and decompress, we believe he’ll feel more at ease. Jiu Jitsu would do best with older, respectful children who understand feline body language and are happy to let him set the pace. We’re using good judgment with introductions to other cats and dogs, and will help you determine the right match if you already have pets at home. If you`re looking for a charming cat with a big personality who appreciates both affection and independence, Jiu Jitsu may be the cat for you. *Jiu Jitsu is in our back kennels and not available for viewing on the adoption floor. Come ask about visiting with him today!*

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jiu Jitsu~s25/26-0034, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
