Notes from foster: JJ took about two days to settle in and has been very affectionate. JJ might be a petite cat but she’s a big love bug. She will jump up onto your lap for an extended cuddle or lean into you for a brief hug. She uses quiet meows or little cat noises to communicate. Like many cats, JJ “cat dances” around feet to get attention, mostly at mealtime. For play she prefers a wand toy or a soft crinkle critter, makes very good use of scratching posts and consistently uses the litter box. JJ will even come when called! JJ’s affectionate, playful and confident nature will make her an enjoyable kitty for most anyone. (Not sure how she would do with other cats or dogs.) Medical Disclosure: This animal has signs of early or mild periodontal disease (very common in cats). There is tartar build up that is causing inflammation of the gums. Long term this can cause gum loss, bone loss, and tooth loss or abscessation, and in rare cases even fractured bone. It is recommended you consult with your personal veterinarian regarding dental prophylaxis procedures which will clean and monitor progression of disease. You may also consider visiting the VOHC.org website for recommended products to help control periodontal disease progression. Their dental disease isn't advanced at this time it is out of the scope of what can be provided through FHS.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt JJ, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
