My story

Meet Hazel! Hazel is a 7-year-old, 65lb Silver Labrador who loves humans, children and dogs of all kinds! Hazel's superpowers include her ability to give paw over and over, her love of humans and her desire for connection. She absolutely loves human interaction and is even great with her foster family's toddler. Hazel would do great with another dog in the house as she LOVES her foster family's dog whom she plays all day long with. Hazel is still unsure about cats. She is not aggressive however she does bark at them. Hazel loves/needs daily walks as her fosters do not have a fenced yard. She loves to sniff, explore and get her energy out before relaxing and snoozing. She is fully crate trained and likes going in her crate at various points throughout the day for quiet time or bone chewing. Hazel is fearful of thunderstorms and will retreat to her crate for safety during a storm and will come out for comfort from humans. Some of her favorite things are bones, walks and peanut butter/treats. If you're looking for an energetic dog with a desire to explore, as much affection as you can handle and a bestie for your fur child Hazel might be the perfect dog for you! Hazel is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week.
