Maybelline

My story

Maybeline is a little shy at first but warms up quickly as she gets to know you. She’s a huge fan of the feather dangling from a stick, and she recently discovered her foster mom's cat has a fun tail to play with. Can you offer this sweet girl a chance to show you what a great friend she can be? Once in your hands she melts into a cuddly ball of purrs who likes to have her ears rubbed. She loved to play with her friend, Ella, but Ella was adopted last weekend. Will you be her new best friend?  She would probably prefer a home without young kids and loud, fast dogs.  Also, it would be best to start her in a small space without hiding places (a bathroom usually works great for this phase).  Let her get used to you; earn her trust there and then give her more freedom once she knows where the food and ear scritches are coming from!  Now that she is comfortable with her foster mom, she screams from the foster room to be released so she can come play and cuddle.  Apply to adopt to schedule a meet and greet with Maybelline.  Her latest friends are the 5 V kittens and she would love to be adopted with a friend if possible.  She does take a couple days to adjust to new kitty friends but a little shared playtime makes all the difference!  She will also be attending our weekly adoption event on Saturday, 12-4pm at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd. Get $50 off the adoption fee for a pair of kittens.All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
