My story

Hello, world! My name is Carri, and I am a bouncy, bright-eyed 5-6 month old German Shepherd/Malinois mix looking for my new favorite humans. Maybe it’s you! Let me tell you a little about my journey. I was originally found as a stray in Yuma with my brother, my sister, and our amazing mom, Laya. We may have had a ruff start, but some wonderful folks in Yuma helped us travel from the pound all the way to Central Arizona Animal Rescue. Now, I’m snuggled up here, waiting for the day I get to meet the family I’ve been dreaming about—my forever family. I have lots of puppy energy and love to play! Everything is new and exciting for me. I’ve never met a cat before, so I’ll need a gentle introduction to those mysterious furry creatures. I’m also brand-new to living inside a house, so I’ll need someone patient and kind to teach me all about house training. But don’t worry—I’m super smart and love to learn! I’m just starting to figure out leash walking, and every day I’m getting a little better. With some treats, encouragement, and maybe a silly dance or two, I’ll be a pro in no time. The grown-ups here made sure to take good care of me: I’ve been spayed (no more puppy surprises for me!), I’m all up-to-date on my vaccinations, and I have a new microchip so I’ll always find my way home. If you’re ready for wagging tails, puppy kisses, and a best friend for life, I’d absolutely love to meet you. I promise to bring joy, laughter, and a little bit of puppy mischief to your world.
