Lizzie

My story

Lizzie is a smart, fun, loving, slightly clumsy, five-month-old lab/pitbull mix. When Lizzie came into foster a month ago, she had no filter and no training, but a huge desire to please her foster and be a good puppy. Her foster has spent the past month exposing her to many things and working with her consistently, and she is developing into the most amazing puppy!   Lizzie's accomplishments and activities: Lizzie is smart and catches on quickly to routines, and even quicker when rewarded with treats (food motivated).  She loves interacting with humans. She exists strictly for the sheer pleasure of playing with other dogs. Lizzie loves hiking and, for the most part, does great on a leash. She goes out on the boat with her fosters and hangs in the caddy cabin where it's cool and loves playing in water when we are on shore.   Lizzie's dream Forever home would have: A yard where she can run and play.  Someone is willing to teach her new things.  Depending on her mood, rewards can either reinforce training and other times distract her from the task at hand.  Either active humans or/and another dog that can show her the ropes and play with her.  Playful humans-Lizzie has perfected her super ninja wrestling move (out of nowhere jumping up high, landing on unsuspecting victims' back and pinning them to the  floor) and likes to use it frequently on smaller dogs and cats (and more than likely a toddler.)  A cuddler-she prefers to end her day cuddled up with her favorite human.   Lizzie has a huge desire to please her humans. She is clumsy and awkward and never fails to keep her fosters laughing. Her floppy ears and side-eye look make it impossible to ever be mad at her. She has one of those one-in-a-million personalities that every dog owner wishes they had, and will forever be dedicated to her human family. Put in an application at eapl.com!
