Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application. Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Francesca, a hound mix born 2/25/25 who currently weighs about 45 pounds, is a bundle of energy who’s playful, curious, and full of potential. She’s past the tiny puppy stage but still very much a baby at heart, learning her way through the world with wiggles, squeaky toys, and wide eyed wonder. She hasn’t had any formal training yet, so she’ll need a family who can lovingly start from scratch. Francesca is working on coming when called and is eager for connection, she just needs someone with the time and patience to help her build a strong foundation. She’s smart, spirited, and ready to learn. Although not yet completely housetrained, she does understand the concept and tries her best, but those long overnight periods in her shelter kennel are SO HARD. She should be quick to train in her forever home with a regular feeding and bathroom schedule. Frannie does well with cats, larger dogs, and older children. She would thrive in an active home that can give her space to run, play, and grow. She’s a high energy girl who will absolutely flourish with consistency, structure, and lots of love. If you’re looking for a sweet playful companion to grow with and you’re ready for the joy (and challenge) of training a pup from the ground up, Francesca is waiting to meet you! All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Francesca is a suggested minimum of $150 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
