My story

This is Cookie! A 9-year-old Shih Tzu who’s spayed, vaccinated, and full of gentle, quiet charm. She came from a rough household — not in a neglectful way, but one where structure and routine were hard to come by. Despite that, her former owners clearly cared about her, and she’s arrived in our care healthy and sweet as ever. Cookie is great with other dogs and thrives in calm environments. She’s not particularly into cats, but she’ll tolerate them if they keep their distance. She loves cozy spots, soft voices, and predictable days — the kind of dog who just wants a peaceful home where she can finally relax for good.
