Meet Shilo!Female | White Great Pyrenees | 60 lbs | ~6 Years Old | Heartworm Positive (Treatment Options Available)Shilo is a stunning Great Pyrenees with a gentle heart and soulful eyes. At around 6 years old and 60 pounds, she’s looking for a calm, patient home where she can feel safe, loved, and finally relax.Though she can be a bit nervous—especially around barking dogs—Shilo shows signs of being incredibly sweet and loyal once she feels secure. With time, love, and a peaceful environment, she’s sure to thrive.Shilo is currently Heartworm positive, and we recommend a foster-to-adopt home so she can receive treatment safely outside the shelter. Our staff will walk you through the available treatment options and support you along the way.If you’re ready to offer a safe space to a truly deserving dog, Shilo is waiting to meet you.I have tested heartworm positive. This means I have a parasite and need treatment. While my friends at HSNBA desperately want to help me, the shelter is too stressful an environment to undertake treatment and treatment itself is very expensive. The shelter has a few options to help with treatment, and if I steal your heart you should talk with them and your vet about what my treatment is like.
