My story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, August 9th from 12-3pm unless adopted prior to the event. To be considered for adoption, pls submit an application in advance.   Adoption fee: $650 Meet Bash! 14–16 weeks old | Terrier mix | Part of the Party Puppies crew Bash is a charming, cuddly, and deeply devoted little guy with just the right blend of energy and calm. The biggest of his litter (currently about 15 lbs), he’s been thriving in his foster home with two other playful DPS pups. Now he’s ready to find a forever family of his own — and if you're looking for a true best friend, Bash might just be your perfect match. Bash wakes up every day around 7:30 AM with a wiggly tail and full-body enthusiasm. He starts his morning with breakfast and a romp in the yard, then spends much of the day following his humans around — inside, outside, everywhere. He’s a classic “velcro dog” who always wants to be close, ideally curled up in your lap or perched sweetly on your shoulder (yes, really). He loves to snuggle, often wrapping his paws around your arm or tucking his face into your chest for full-on puppy hugs. Though he adores attention, Bash is not needy. He can happily nap in a sunbeam or quietly entertain himself nearby, then come back for cuddles when he’s ready. He plays well with his foster siblings and is friendly with all dogs he meets. He’s also been polite around cats and has done great with gentle redirection. Bash is also an option for families with kids. Bash is mostly potty trained, with only occasional pee accidents. At night, he sleeps with his foster siblings in the laundry room, and he’s learning routines quickly. He doesn’t bark much — maybe a playful woof here and there — and isn’t destructive, though like most puppies, he’ll chew a bit when bored or teething. Whether he’s trying to wedge himself between you and another dog to get more affection, watching you solve puzzles with serious interest, or curling up for a shoulder snuggle, Bash has a way of making you feel like you’re the center of his world. Ideal home: Bash would thrive in a calm, loving home with someone who wants a loyal, affectionate companion. He’d love another dog to play with, and he’ll be happiest with people who enjoy both quiet cuddles and playful energy. If you're ready for a devoted sidekick with a heart full of love, Bash is waiting to meet you.August 10, 2025, 5:16 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bash, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
