My story

Hi there! My name is Buddy, and I’m about 2 years old. I was found wandering the neighborhood, and some amazing people took me in, trying to find my owner. Unfortunately, that didn’t work out, but I’m excited to meet my new family! Let me tell you a little about myself! My three best qualities are my curiosity, affection, and playfulness. I have this adorable way of asking my dog friends to play with me – I run up and nuzzle my nose against theirs. It’s such a gentle way to say, “Hey, let’s have some fun!” Sometimes, when I’m outside, I just flop down on the grass and lay belly up to soak up the sunshine. It’s one of my cute little quirks! I’m housebroken and have been around both larger and smaller dogs. I’m pretty curious and submissive, and I love to play. I never show any aggression towards other dogs – just a whole lot of excitement and friendliness! I’ve also met some cats, and I adore them! I try to play with them, but they don’t seem too interested. I can’t help myself; I even try to give my cat friend some kisses, but she swipes at me! No worries, though; I’m still determined to be her best buddy. I think I’d do great with kids! When I was wandering around, I would visit yards with children, and they always gave me lots of love and attention. I enjoyed every moment! At night, I usually choose to sleep on the floor, but sometimes I hop onto the sofa. If I’m told to get down, I happily obey. I walk wonderfully on a leash, and while I can be curious and distracted, I stay well-behaved. I’m playful, goofy, cuddly, and a gentle giant. I can be skittish around new people, loud noises, or sudden movements, but I’ve been getting better, especially with my dog friend by my side. I love bones and chew toys, and I’m great at sharing – even if my dog doesn’t share his! One important thing: I need a fenced-in yard because I love to run! A high fence is best since I can jump pretty high. I can’t wait to find my forever home with a loving family. Let’s make some wonderful memories together!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Buddy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
