My story

Morgan is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to hug and is extremely good at fetch. He’s also a gentle, sensitive soul with a quiet depth, just waiting for the right person to share his life with. While he may be shy at first, once he feels safe, Morgan blossoms into a devoted companion who simply wants to be near his human. Smart and eager to please, Morgan already knows his basic commands and is highly food-motivated, making training a fun and rewarding experience. He does well with both cats and mellow dogs, but is happiest when he can spend time close to his people. Whether it’s snuggling on the couch, napping in the sun, or quietly riding along on errands, Morgan is a calm, comforting presence. Despite a rough start to life—including being returned after adoption for being too nervous and spending far too much time in boarding—Morgan has shown incredible resilience. In one of his previous placements, he was housed with many larger dogs and often picked on, leaving him with a few physical scars and emotional wounds. But those experiences have only deepened his appreciation for safety, kindness, and true companionship. Morgan does fine being left alone for short periods (he’s a perfect gentleman—no destruction!), but he thrives in a calm home where someone is around most of the time. A fully fenced yard where he can sunbathe and feel secure would be ideal. If you’re looking for a kind-hearted, loyal friend who will quietly stick by your side and share in the simple joys of life, Morgan could be the one. After so much instability, he’s ready to finally belong—and to be someone’s everything. Our adoption process and application can be found at - https://www.sunnyskysshelter.org/our-adoption-process Note: Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess. For other questions on our dogs/cats please send an email to info@sunnyskysshelter.org.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt MORGAN, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
