My story

Who could not use a star companion in their lives? We would say that everyone can benefit from companionship. Get ready for the spotlight because our girl Star is going to shine. Her golden coat is appealing and even brighter in the sun. Star and her sister Sunshine are 5-month-old Labrador retriever mixes. Both found as strays with a second chance to shine in the lives of their forever families. Star is making a positive and joyous impression with her endearing personality. She weighs 20 pounds currently but is expected to be a medium size dog of up to 60 pounds when fully grown. She has a bit of a shy side but will bloom to her lovely self in short amount of time with kindness and love. Star is a great gal with a zest for meeting people, other dogs and children. Her playful puppy nature is a treat for all who join her in her escapes of fun and adventure. She is currently residing with a cat in her foster home and she is currently feeling out the relationship as a work in progress. Her crate and leash training are also in progress. She is working hard on all of her skills so she can impress her forever family. She has already mastered her house training and is ready to demonstrate her skills for her family. Although she is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. As with all puppies, Star is full of curiosity and wonderment and is ready to grow from adorable puppy to an amazing dog with the right guidance and patience. She will need a home with someone who has the time, desire and energy to train and socialize her so that she can become the perfect lifelong companion.Get ready to for the media because word will spread fast. Everyone will want to meet Star and experience her love firsthand. Take the next step to bringing Star home today. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Star is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.August 15, 2025, 6:51 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Star, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
