My story

I am Maggie, a survivor and a true miracle. I am about 4 years old. My family was fostering a dog who attacked me, and I almost died. After a long recovery I made it, but now I have PTSD and relive my attack every day. My family doesn’t want to give me up, but I attacked the other dog when I was reliving my horror. Even though I love my family and snuggle with them, I can be unpredictable when the memories come back. My family has talked to the rescue I came from, AFF, and a trainer, and they all agree it is best for me to be rehomed so I am not constantly reminded of my trauma. I am a sweet, cuddly, playful girl. I am looking for a home without other animals. I do like them, but I would feel safer without. I need a quiet home that understands I survived an awful attack and still carry some mental scars. My rescue friend has PTSD too and understands what I’m going through.
