Hamilton

My story

Hamilton (we call him Lewis) is very friendly and gets along well with people and other dogs of all sizes. He enjoys being around “his pack”. He has not been around small children but suspect he would be okay once past the clumsy puppy stage. There have been no incidents of him jumping on people. We’re a “four on the floor” household and he hasn’t attempted to get on furniture or beds. Would do best in a home with another active dog. Hamilton is very smart. He is highly responsive to training and learns quickly. Not especially food motivated but LOVES praise, companionship, sprinklers and hoses with nozzles. He is very friendly and not skittish or timid. His favorite activities include long walks with lots of sniffing and playing in water. He has had a couple accidents in the house but is close to being potty trained. Currently taking obedience classes; “sit” and “down”, commands are well understood, working on leash training and “leave it”. Loves the dog park and interacts well with both puppies and adult dogs; generally hangs close to his people but getting more comfortable wandering on his own. Generally comes back when called. Rides well in a car.
