Mia is a stunning little lady with a tiny frame- just 6.5 pounds of pure sweetness. At around 1 to 2 years old, her foster mom suspects she's closer to 1, given her petite size and kitten-like charm. Mia absolutely lives for pets- whether it’s your hand, a toy, or even a gentle foot, she’ll melt with happiness and shower you with affection, often rubbing around your legs to show her love. What makes Mia truly special is how freely she trusts people. She opens her heart with ease, greeting kindness with affection and hope. Mia is incredibly brave, too, as she’s faced her fears of the Roomba and the noisy washing machine like a champ. Mia has done wonderfully with the resident cats in her foster home, even when they’ve been not-too-keen on her presence, and would likely thrive with another cat after a proper introduction. She does well with cat-friendly dogs given a slow introduction. Mia tolerated her nail trim with just a bit of squirming, and is learning to enjoy being held for longer periods of time, especially when she gets to rub nose to nose with you, or to curl up on the bed next to you afterward. Mia adores lounging by the window and enjoying fresh air through the screen, making her a perfect companion for someone with a sunny sill to spare. Mia is starting to become more playful, and loves running after, but not actually catching, her toys. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate cat, Mia is your perfect match. Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters.
