My story

Meet Cee Dee, a little survivor with a heart full of love and a calm strength that’s impossible to miss! She was found in the middle of a busy intersection in Compton - underweight, covered in fleas, and with several large mammary masses that were some of the worst we’ve ever seen. It was clear this sweet girl had been medically neglected for a long time and likely used for breeding, but somehow, she was still out there trying to survive, tail wagging through it all.A kind couple brought her to safety and kept her for a few days before bringing her to us, and that’s when her healing journey finally began. Cee Dee has since been spayed, had her masses removed, was treated for fleas, and has started to gain some much-needed weight. Her skin has healed, her fur is soft again, and she’s beginning to look and feel like the healthy little dog she was always meant to be!She’s estimated to be around 6 years old and weighs about 14 pounds. Cee Dee is mellow, gentle, and incredibly sweet. She has a peaceful energy about her and seems to take comfort in simply being near her people. She does great with other dogs, especially those on the calmer side, and would thrive in a quiet home where she can continue to relax and be loved. Her favorite things are soft places to nap, gentle cuddles, and slow, easy walks with her person by her side.Cee Dee has been through a lot, but she hasn’t let it harden her. There’s something truly special about dogs like her, the ones who endure and still choose love and trust. She’s ready to leave the past behind and enjoy the comfort and companionship of a safe, loving home. If you think Cee Dee might be the one you’ve been waiting for, please inquire today!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cee Dee, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
