My story

Mercy is a big lovable lady! She weighs 81 pounds! We think that she is a Great Pyrenees or Anatolian Shepherd mix. Maybe with German Shepherd in there too. Honestly, who knows! We do know that Mercy is the sweetest girl who loves to hang out with her family. She would be happiest with a family who is working outside most of the day. She does not appear to ever have been inside! When she puts on the brakes and refuses to come in, well it's hard to argue with 81 pounds! Mercy seems to be about one and a half years old or so. She has plenty of time to learn how to be an inside dog and, honestly it is safer for her in extreme cold and heat. Because she wants to be outside for the most part, we are going to have to be very picky about her forever family. She MUST have a securely fenced in yard and an area outside where she can have a safe place to be if she refuses to come inside. Like a covered porch or barn. We are not sure how she is with livestock, but she is great with other dogs and so far she has not been fazed by any of her foster sibling's antics. No matter how outlandish! Mercy has done well with older kids as well. Mercy would do best with a family who has had livestock guardian breeds in the past. If you are interested in adopting Mercy, please fill out an application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY/Dog **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders. If you need to reach us regarding your application, the best way to contact us is through email.** We are located in Fayette County, GA and are a foster based rescue without a shelter building.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mercy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
