My story

Melon is a stunning mostly-black girl with just a splash of white and a lot of personality. This girl successfully fought a tough eye infection which left her with wonky vision in one eye, but you’d never know it from the way she plays, pounces, and zooms through her favorite tunnel toy! That tunnel isn’t just for play—it’s also her favorite nap spot after a good round of hide-and-seek. She may be a little shy with people at first, but don’t let that fool you. Give Melon time and patience, and she’ll be your BFF for life. She adores sunbathing on the cat tree, indulging in wet food, and going wild for the Cat Dancer toy. She must be adopted with one of her siblings or into a home with another young, playful kitten to keep her company and help her feel safe. She’d do well with gentle children and would likely be just fine with a calm, respectful dog. And importantly, Melon’s eye doesn’t hurt and requires no medical attention—it’s just a special part of what makes her her.
