My story

Meet Callie! Callie is a laid-back, cuddly sweetheart who’s equal parts lazybones and lovebug. She’s playful in bursts (especially when there’s a game of fetch involved!) but is just as happy lounging around soaking up belly rubs and snuggles. Her favourite pastimes include strolling the city streets for a good sniff, relaxing on the couch, and being your personal shadow—though she’s perfectly content napping on her own too. Callie is friendly and gentle, though she can be a little timid when surprised by sudden noises or strangers appearing out of nowhere. She’s adapted incredibly well to busy downtown life, showing no reactivity to city sounds, people, or traffic. She doesn’t bark, is fully crate trained, and is house trained with just one accident early on. While she hasn’t lived with other pets or kids in her current foster home, she’s previously done well with both and would likely enjoy a calm, respectful furry or human sibling. On walks, she’s well-mannered and curious; she may stalk a bird or show mild interest in a squirrel, but she’s not overly reactive and is easy to redirect. She loves meeting dogs with calm greetings and is social with both big and small pups. The ideal home for Callie would be with someone who appreciates a low-maintenance dog that’s affectionate, mellow, and easy to live with. She’ll thrive with a person or family who can give her love, structure, and a cozy place to nap. Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Callie? If you have any questions or would like to adopt Callie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
