My story

Fern has the most beautiful green eyes and the longest legs. Those long legs give her the goofiest puppy runs, each going its own direction. Let’s just say along with all the other puppy things, she’s still learning coordination. Another very fitting name for this sweet girl would be Ariel because she too Wants To Be Where The People Are. Strangers? She doesn’t know them. Friends? As far as the eye can see! This social butterfly doesn’t know what to do first every morning. Crawl in your lap, run in circles, give you kisses? She’s so excited for all of the things and would thrive in a family that is excited to share all of the things with her. Fern was born 4/25/25 and is a hound mix. Her mama is about 40 pounds. She’s working on potty training and is already crate trained at bedtime. Fern and her siblings have been quarantined during treatment for ringworm - don’t worry, this is just a fungus that will have no ill effects. Now she’s breaking out to be part of your world. All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee: $225 for all dogs and puppies.
