My story

*** Peanut is in a foster home. ***Peanut #19549: cream/gray Siamese mix, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 2/1/13Cats: good solo, can comfortably cohabitDogs: goodChildren: past toddler BACKGROUND: Peanut was a kitten when he was adopted into his home, but a decade later his human parents found themselves between a rock and a hard place when their child was born with life-threatening medical issues and left immunocompromised. For the child’s health and safety, the doctor strongly advised rehoming Peanut and the family dog. Peanut’s people were devastated but sought help finding their beloved pets homes where they will be able to be loved and thrive for the rest of their lives.PERSONALITY: Peanut is seriously the biggest love bug! This sweet and affectionate guy always wants attention and attaches himself to his people. He can be chatty when he wants you to pet him, purrs nonstop, and likes to sit next to you (or on you) while watching TV just so he can get some snuggles in. Peanut is an observer who is interested in watching things, whether it’s a television screen or what’s happening at the window. He’s not the smartest cat in the world and will definitely make you laugh when he clearly doesn’t think too hard (though you’ll need to save him from some of his thoughtless acts and keep plastic out of reach). He’ll bat toys around here and there (his favs are bouncy wires or strings) but is largely past the zoomies of his younger life. He’s most interested in connecting with people and getting lots and lots of your attention and love. Peanut is a fantastic companion kitty!COMPATIBILITY: Peanut got along well with the family dog and can comfortably cohabit with another cat once introduced; he might briefly play with another feline here and there though he doesn’t tend to buddy up. He is a gentle kitty who is good with respectful kids past the toddler age. Peanut will need time and patience while he adapts to change, but his focus on people and the love they offer has never wavered.Peanut knows what it means to be loved, and he wants that human-kitty bond! Will you welcome him with open arms and a loving heart and become his special person?

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Peanut, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
