My story

Meet Peanut! This sweet and scruffy little lady is a 2-year-old Cairn Terrier mix with a heart that wants to trust and find a new family to love again. Peanut came to us after her previous owner could no longer care for her, and now she’s looking for a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and understood. Peanut is friendly and affectionate once she gets to know you—but she can be a bit shy at first, especially around new men. With a little patience (and maybe a few treats), she’ll soon be wagging her tail and showing off her playful side. She’s up to date on all her vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped—ready to start her next chapter with the right person or family. If you’re willing to give her a bit of time to settle in, Peanut just might be your perfect pint-sized companion. Come meet her and see if she’s the missing piece of your heart!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Peanut, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
