My story

Name: CosmoDOB: 6/24/24Breed: Irish Wolfhound/Golden-DoodleSex: Neutered MaleWeight: 59 poundsLocation: Buffalo Meet Cosmo--but his fosters think his name should be Sprocket because he's a dead ringer for the dog from Fraggle Rock. Cosmo was an owner surrender in Kentucky before coming to Buffalo as one happy-go-lucky solid matt. We have been working on his coat for five days in preparation for a pleasant (probably first) professional groom. His fosters believe that he was surrendered due to lack of time for an energetic medium-large puppy, and was probably kept outside a lot. He seems more skittish indoors.   Although we have not had any accidents per say, Cosmo marked a few places close to the door, but this seems to have corrected itself as he becomes more comfortable in his foster home-- especially since he was recently neutered.   Cosmo loves playing fetch and will gladly retrieve anything you throw for him (for as long as you are willing to throw). He drops the toys at your feet and patiently waits for the next toss. Many times, Cosmo will entertain himself what the toys if you are unavailable (as long as you are in eyesight.) Cosmo is eager to please, but needs a lot of reassurance and confidence as he learns basic commands. He is desperate for someone to love him as much as he loves every person he meets. He is going to mellow out into an absolute sweetheart of a gentle giant. His future home must have the following: 1A tall fenced in yard.   2Experience with large breed dogs and their training needs. 3Familiarity with short, and long-term grooming. 4A willingness to give under the chin scratches while resting his big ole' head on your chest --especially if he fee-fo-fums his way into the bathroom.   PS: Cosmo is currently recovering/being treated for an eye scratch.   If you are interested in Cosmo, please apply at 716paws.org, or message the rescue if you have been pre-approved! ##2476396##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cosmo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
