My story

Meet Jasper, a strikingly handsome Bloodhound ready to find his new family. Jasper is currently in a foster home since having entropion surgery to correct his inward-turning eyelids... and doing wonderfully! He gets along great with the other two dogs in his foster home and has even learned to ignore his horse sibling. He's more interested in conducting his perimeter-search of the horse pasture, anyway 🙂 Jasper currently lives with four cats, who he loves to chase and annoy with his Bloodhound baying. Any cat he lives with will likely need to be somewhat dog-savvy and not easily scared by his overtures. Jasper was pretty pathetic and downtrodden when he first came to his foster home, but over the past couple of weeks, he's truly blossomed. He's learning to play with his dog siblings and dog toys, and that people can be kind and loving, a source of endless pets instead of harsh neglect. Jasper's foster parents have fostered a lot of dogs over the years and claim that Jasper is definitely one of the sweetest, most endearing dogs they've had in their home. He has a soft, gentle personality that just tugs at your heartstrings. Jasper is still learning what it means to be a house dog, though he is very well crate-trained and housebroken. He can tend to be a bit of a "bull in a china shop" who doesn't know his size, but he will eventually settle down and relax. Jasper has a moderate energy requirement once he runs off some steam, he's happy to just lay on his bed and snooze. His foster parents have been working with him on basic commands, but he will likely need additional leash training.
