My story

Meet Demi— a soulful survivor in search of her forever home. Demi is a 3-year-old Dutch Shepherd/Bull Terrier mix with a spirit that will leave a lasting mark on your heart. She’s what we call a soul dog—one of those rare dogs who seem to see right through you when they look into your eyes. It’s as if she’s quietly asking, “Will you love me? Will you let me belong? Will you never give up on me again?” Despite a rough start in life, Demi has never lost her light. She’s sweet, affectionate, and resilient—proof that love and hope can survive anything. Her greatest joy? A simple ball. She’ll carry it everywhere if you let her (and honestly, she tries!). Demi’s past hasn’t been kind. Her former owner failed her in ways she didn’t deserve, leaving her with some fear toward other female dogs. Cats? Not her thing. But here’s the good news—Demi is learning. In her foster home, she’s making progress every day, discovering that not all dogs—or people—will hurt her. With time, patience, and consistency, she’ll keep blossoming. What Demi needs is simple: a home that makes her feel safe, valued, and loved beyond measure.
