My story

This 2-year-old, 48.1-pound Cattle Dog mix is smart, playful, and full of personality. Hoover is a friendly guy who loves chasing toys and using his sharp mind to explore the world around him. He would thrive in a home where he has a job or a purpose to keep his body and brain engaged. Like many clever, independent dogs, Hoover is good at advocating for himself—he’s not shy about letting you know when he’s had enough. He communicates clearly and just needs someone who will respect his boundaries, understand his cues, and not push him past his comfort zone.Hoover is looking for a very special someone—not just anyone will be the right fit. He will need an experienced, adult-only home with people who truly understand active, intelligent breeds and are committed to working with him at his pace. With the right match, Hoover has so much love, fun, and loyalty to give. He’s ready to find that person who sees him for the incredible dog he is and is willing to meet him where he’s at. This sweet, smart boy deserves nothing less.We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only.
