My story

Clark is one of 30 some dogs that were confiscated from a hoarding situation. Clark is not yet neutered. He is approx. 5 yrs. old and heartworm negative. Clark is shy at first, but once he trusts you he is an open book. A house with kids is not recommended as he has probably never met one in his life. Also, we do not know how he is with cats. He has met other small dogs, and has seen the foster's larger dogs through the crate with no reaction. However, Clark needs to be fed separately, either way. Clark has not shown any issues with humans around his food bowl or treats. Right now, he is doing ok on leash training, he is doing great on crate training, and hasn't messed in the house during the periods he's been inside and out of the crate. However, he may have an accident or two while learning a new home. Clark LOVES attention once he knows you and will jump up for more. He does not seem to mind being carried either. He is learning to come when his name is called. There has been NO attempt to growl or bite not even at the vets. He will be very trainable if someone can take the time to work with him. He may need another kind dog, and would benefit from a small fenced area to go out in. He may need house breaking at first. He will eat out of a bowl. He is currently housed in the same space as his former housemate Lewis, though they do NOT appear to be bonded at all. Currently housed in Spring Hill, FL, if you have experience with hoarding or unsocialized pups and would like to help this lil boy, applications can be found at ewenityfarmsbch.com. We will be getting more pictures soon; it has just been too scary for them!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Clark, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
