My story

Meet Ozzy!Ozzy is a 1-year-old Weimaraner mix with boundless energy and a love for life! This athletic boy is always on the go—he thrives on running, exploring, and using his nose to sniff out every interesting scent in his path.Ozzy came in with another dog and gets along great with his buddy, though we haven’t tested him with other dogs just yet. He enjoys being around people and is friendly with humans, but he’s not the overly cuddly type—he’d much rather be out adventuring than snuggled on the couch (at least for now!).With his high energy and curious spirit, Ozzy is looking for an active, outdoorsy family with a securely fenced yard and older kids who can match his enthusiasm for movement and play.If you`re searching for a spirited, independent pup who’s ready to explore the world by your side, Ozzy might just be your perfect trail partner. If you would like to meet Ozzy, please submit an application for him on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. He is neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care he has received.**Please note that the breed listed for each of our dogs is a rough estimate unless DNA results are provided in their Bio. All strays have rough estimates of their age based on the condition of their teeth. Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ozzy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
