Meet Chicken Tender – Your Next High-Energy Best Friend! Chicken Tender arrived at the shelter as a stray and has quickly made a name for himself as a fun-loving, energetic, and people-focused pup. With his boundless enthusiasm and joyful spirit, he’s always ready for adventure and eager to be part of the action! This bouncy boy is full of personality and excitement. Chicken Tender is playful and interactive, especially when toys are involved! His play style can be a bit rough-and-tumble, particularly with tug toys, but he’s responsive and was happy to trade toys for treats—showing he`s ready to learn and eager to please. When meeting another dog Chicken Tender was highly excited and a bit overzealous in his approach. With continued guidance and training in dog social skills, he has great potential to become more comfortable and respectful in canine interactions. Chicken Tender will thrive in an active home ready to embrace his enthusiasm while providing the structure and training he needs. A family meet-and-greet is recommended, as is a slow introduction to other dogs and consistent work with a trainer. If you`re looking for a big personality with an even bigger heart, Chicken Tender might just be the one for you!This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the “shelter information” box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
