My story

Meet Loaf, a low-riding legend with a name (and shape) that fits just right! She was found wandering the streets alone, which is hard to believe once you meet her, because this girl clearly belongs on a soft couch, not fending for herself out in the world.Loaf is about 12 years old and weighs around 12 pounds. She’s got short little legs, a round, sturdy body, and the kind of squishable face that makes you want to scoop her right up. Loaf is the definition of mellow. She will follow you from room to room just to be nearby. She loves to nap, cuddle, and hang out in soft beds. She’s deeply sweet and has a calm, old-soul energy about her that makes you want to slow down and appreciate the moment right alongside her.Health-wise, Loaf has a collapsing trachea, a condition where the cartilage in the trachea weakens, causing her to have occasional coughing fits, especially if she gets overexcited or overheated. She’s not a candidate for surgery, so her care revolves around managing symptoms and keeping her calm, cool, and comfortable. Her immune system is a little delicate too, so she should avoid homes with lots of chaos or dogs who play rough, but despite everything, she’s doing well and is in good spirits.She gets along great with other low-key dogs and would thrive in a peaceful home with someone familiar with the unique needs of senior pups. Someone who will let her nap on the couch, keep an eye on her breathing, and remind her every day that she’s safe and loved. Loaf has clearly lived a life, and now she’s ready to enjoy the best chapter yet. She’s gentle, funny in that quiet senior-dog way, and full of love to give.
